Ingredients

For the Marinade
  • 1/4 cup Olive oil For marinating
  • 1/4 cup Fresh lemon juice Plus a few slices for serving
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced or grated
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 pinch Paprika Optional but recommended
  • 1 teaspoon Honey Optional
  • 1/4 cup Chopped parsley For garnish
For the Salmon
  • 4 pieces Salmon fillets About 1 to 1.5 inches thick

Method

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, salt, pepper, and any extras you like.
  2. Pat the salmon dry with paper towels.
  3. Brush or spoon the marinade over the salmon. Let it sit for 15 to 30 minutes.
Grilling
  1. Preheat the grill to medium or medium-high. Clean the grates, then oil them lightly.
  2. Grill salmon skin side down first if it has skin. Close the lid and grill for 4 to 6 minutes.
  3. Flip and grill for an additional 2 to 4 minutes until cooked through.
Serving
  1. Let the salmon rest for 2 minutes before serving. Optionally, finish with a pinch of flaky salt and a squeeze of fresh lemon.
  2. Serve with chopped parsley if desired.

Notes

Avoid marinating salmon overnight due to the acidity of the lemon juice. For best results, ensure the grill is hot and clean before cooking.
