Preparation
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until just tender, then rinse under cold water.
- Drain well to avoid watery dressing.
- Chop dill pickles and prepare any optional ingredients.
Mixing
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked pasta, chopped dill pickles, pickle juice, ranch dressing, and sour cream or mayo if using.
- Add fresh dill, cheddar cubes, diced onion, and chopped celery.
- Stir until well combined.
Chill and Serve
- Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours before serving for best flavor.
- Taste and adjust seasoning before serving, adding more salt or pickle juice as desired.
Notes
Best served chilled. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Stir in extra ranch or a splash of pickle juice before serving if it thickens. Freezing is not recommended.
