  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Full fat is best, but lighter is an option.
  • 1 cup chopped dill pickles Use crunchy dill pickles, not sweet.
  • 2 tbsp pickle juice Add slowly to adjust flavor.
  • 1/2 cup sour cream Greek yogurt can be substituted.
  • 1 tsp fresh or dried dill Fresh is preferred; use less if dried.
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder Adds a savory flavor.
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder Optional ingredient for added flavor.
  • to taste dash black pepper Taste before adding more salt due to pickles.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Start with softened cream cheese in a medium bowl.
  2. Add sour cream and stir until creamy for a smooth base.
  3. Mix in chopped dill pickles, pickle juice, dill, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
  4. Taste the mixture and adjust with more pickle juice or dill as needed.
  5. Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

This dip is quick to make and can be adjusted for flavor. Serve with potato chips, crackers, veggies, or on sandwiches. Keep covered in the fridge for about 3 to 4 days.
