Preparation
- Line two baking sheets with parchment or prepare a large parchment-lined counter space.
- Lightly spray your slow cooker insert with nonstick spray or use a slow cooker liner.
Slow Cooker Steps
- Add semi-sweet chocolate chips, milk chocolate chips, coconut oil, and vanilla to the slow cooker. Set to low.
- Stir every 15 to 20 minutes to ensure gentle, even melting.
- When the chocolate is almost melted, add the caramel bits and heavy cream. Keep on low and stir until smooth.
- Turn off heat and stir in the pecans until fully coated.
- Using a tablespoon or small cookie scoop, drop mounds onto the parchment sheets. Sprinkle with flaky salt if desired.
- Let the turtles set at room temperature for 1 to 2 hours or refrigerate for 20 to 30 minutes to set faster.
Notes
Store turtles in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week, or refrigerate for 2 weeks. You can also freeze them for up to 1 month.
