Ingredients
Method
Cooking Gnocchi
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil.
- Add the gnocchi in a single layer. If the pan is crowded, cook in batches.
- Let it sit for about 3 minutes until a golden crust forms, then flip or stir.
- Continue cooking for 5 to 7 minutes, shaking the pan occasionally, until browned and crisp.
Making the Sauce
- Push the gnocchi to the sides and add butter in the center of the pan.
- Once the butter melts and foams, add sage leaves.
- When the butter turns golden brown and smells nutty, toss everything together.
- If using garlic, add it in the last 30 seconds of cooking.
Finishing Touches
- Finish the dish with lemon juice, pepper, and parmesan cheese.
Notes
Avoid boiling the gnocchi beforehand for optimal crispiness. Use medium heat to prevent the butter from burning.
