Ingredients

Base Ingredients
  • 1 cup Cottage cheese Full fat or low fat both work
  • 1 cup Plain Greek yogurt
Flavor Additions
  • 1 packet Ranch seasoning You can use a packet or your own mix
  • 1 cup Shredded cheddar cheese Pepper jack can be used for heat
  • 1/2 cup Bacon bits or cooked bacon Turkey bacon works as a substitute
  • 1/4 cup Sliced green onions
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder Optional
  • 1 pinch Black pepper To taste
  • 1 squeeze Lemon Optional, for flavor enhancement

Method

Preparation
  1. Blend the cottage cheese until smooth (30 to 60 seconds).
  2. Add the Greek yogurt and ranch seasoning. Blend briefly or stir together.
  3. Pour into a bowl and fold in shredded cheddar, bacon, and green onions.
  4. Taste and adjust seasoning with pepper, ranch, or lemon as needed.
  5. Chill for at least 20 minutes for better flavor.

Notes

For cottage cheese skeptics, blending it first helps achieve a smooth texture. If you have leftovers, it lasts 3-4 days in the fridge.
