Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 cups Cooked shredded chicken Rotisserie chicken works best
  • 8 oz Cream cheese Softened for easier mixing
  • 1 packet Ranch seasoning mix One packet typically suffices
  • 2 cups Shredded cheddar Sharp cheddar preferred for flavor
  • 6 slices Cooked bacon Crumble before mixing
  • 12 pieces Slider buns Hawaiian rolls are popular
  • 2 tbsp Butter For brushing the tops
Optional Add-ins
  • 1 cup Sliced green onions For garnish
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder Optional for extra flavor
  • to taste Hot sauce Optional for spice

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the cooked shredded chicken, softened cream cheese, ranch seasoning mix, shredded cheddar, and crumbled bacon until well combined. If the cream cheese is too firm, microwave for about 10 seconds to soften.
  3. If the slider buns are connected, slice the whole slab in half horizontally to create top and bottom parts.
  4. Place the bottom half of the buns in a baking dish and evenly spread the crack chicken mixture on top. Sprinkle a little extra cheese if desired, then place the bun tops on.
  5. Brush the tops of the buns with melted butter and add a sprinkle of ranch seasoning or dried parsley, if desired.
  6. Cover the dish with foil and bake for about 10 minutes to heat through. Then uncover and bake for an additional 5 to 10 minutes until the tops are lightly golden.
  7. Allow to rest for a couple of minutes before slicing into individual sliders.

Notes

You can make the filling up to 2 days in advance, just keep it covered in the fridge. The sliders pair well with a simple salad, pickles, or chips. Feel free to experiment with different cheeses or spice levels based on your preference.
