  • 1 cup Cottage cheese Full fat is creamier but low fat works too.
  • 1 packet Ranch seasoning Use a packet or homemade blend.
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice Optional but recommended for flavor.
  • 1 clove Garlic (minced) Optional, for a stronger ranch flavor.
  • to taste Black pepper A few cracks for flavor.
  • as needed tbsp Milk or water Optional, to adjust thickness.
Optional Add-Ins
  • to taste Fresh dill or chives For an herby flavor.
  • to taste Cayenne pepper or hot sauce For spice.
  • to taste Diced pickles or pickle juice For a dill pickle twist.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Blend the cottage cheese in a blender or food processor until smooth for 30 to 60 seconds.
  2. Add the ranch seasoning and lemon juice, then blend again briefly. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  3. If you prefer a thinner dip, add milk or water one tablespoon at a time until desired consistency is reached.
  4. Chill the dip for 20 to 30 minutes if you have time, to enhance the flavor.

Notes

Serve with crunchy veggies, pretzels, or use as a spread. Store in a sealed container in the fridge for 3 to 4 days. If it separates, just stir it.
