Ingredients

For the cake
  • 1 box Yellow cake mix Plus ingredients required on the box (usually eggs, oil, and water)
For the creamy filling
  • 8 oz Cream cheese Softened for smooth blending
  • 14 oz Sweetened condensed milk Adds richness and creaminess
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract For flavor enhancement
For the cinnamon sugar topping
  • 1/2 cup Granulated sugar For the topping
  • 1 tbsp Ground cinnamon For flavor
  • 1/4 cup Butter Melted, for helping the cinnamon sugar stick
  • 1 pinch Salt Optional for balancing flavor

Method

Baking the Cake Layer
  1. Mix cake batter according to the package directions and pour into a greased 9×13 pan. Bake until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool for 20-30 minutes.
Making the Creamy Layer
  1. In a bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth. Add sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract, mixing until thick and creamy.
Adding the Filling
  1. Once the cake is cooled, spread the cream cheese mixture over the top carefully to avoid tearing the cake.
Preparing the Cinnamon Sugar Topping
  1. In a small bowl, stir together the sugar and cinnamon. Melt the butter and brush it over the creamy layer, then sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture on top generously.
Chilling and Serving
  1. Chill for at least 1-2 hours to allow the layers to set. Slice into squares and serve.

Notes

For best results, soften the cream cheese ahead of time. Chill the cake before slicing for neater pieces. Feel free to drizzle caramel or dulce de leche on top for extra flavor.
