Preparation
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or wax paper.
- Set out your sprinkles and toppings in small bowls. Prepare the drizzle chocolate if using.
Melting Chocolate
- Place chocolate in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave in 20 to 30 second bursts, stirring each time, until mostly melted. Stir until smooth.
- If the chocolate feels too thick, stir in a tiny bit of coconut oil.
Dipping Oreos
- Drop one Oreo into the melted chocolate and use a fork to flip it, ensuring it's well coated.
- Lift it out with the fork and gently tap it against the bowl to let excess chocolate drip off, then slide it onto the prepared parchment.
Decorating
- Immediately add sprinkles or other toppings onto the wet chocolate. If drizzling, let the base layer set before drizzling the top.
Setting
- Let the cookies set at room temperature until firm, or place in the fridge for 10 to 15 minutes for quicker setting.
Notes
Ensure all utensils are dry to avoid seizing the chocolate. Stack cookies carefully after they are set to prevent smudging.
