Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 425°F or set the broiler to high.
- Line a baking sheet with foil and lay the bread in a single layer.
- If the bread feels a little soft, let it sit out on the counter for 5 minutes.
Make the Garlic Butter
- In a bowl, combine softened butter, garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper.
- If the butter feels stiff, splash in a teaspoon or two of olive oil.
- Mix everything together until it’s creamy and easy to spread.
- Spread a generous layer on each slice of bread, ensuring to cover the corners.
Bake or Broil
- Top each slice with mozzarella and a sprinkle of Parmesan.
- For baking, slide the tray onto the middle rack and bake for 6 to 8 minutes.
- For broiling, place the tray on the upper rack and broil for 2 to 4 minutes, watching closely.
- For extra crunch, flip the bread once under the broiler for 45 seconds before adding toppings.
Notes
