Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 cups Cooked shredded chicken (rotisserie chicken) Juicy and seasoned chicken for added flavor.
  • 8 ounces Cream cheese, softened Should be at room temperature for easier mixing.
  • 1 cup Sour cream or plain Greek yogurt Use Greek yogurt for tanginess.
  • 1/2 cup Buffalo sauce Use your favorite brand; adjust for spice level.
  • 1 cup Shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a mix) Save half for topping.
Optional Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup Ranch or blue cheese dressing For a tangy flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons Sliced green onions For topping.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease an 8x8 baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, mix softened cream cheese, sour cream, and buffalo sauce until smooth. If the cream cheese is stubborn, microwave it for about 10 seconds to soften.
  3. Stir in shredded chicken and half of your shredded cheese. For a tangier dip, add ranch or blue cheese dressing.
  4. Spread the mixture into the prepared baking dish and sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
  5. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until hot and bubbly. For extra browning, broil for 1-2 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning.
Serving
  1. Let the dip cool slightly and serve with tortilla chips, celery sticks, or your choice of dippers.

Notes

Optionally, for a Halloween touch, swirl the top before baking and decorate with green onion 'vines' or ranch in a spider web pattern.
