Preparation
- Slice the onion and toss it into the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Mix the salt, pepper, paprika, cinnamon, and brown sugar. Rub the mixture all over the pork.
- Place the pork on top of the onions, add the garlic around it, and pour in the apple cider.
Cooking
- Cook on low for 8 to 10 hours or on high for 5 to 6 hours. The pork is ready when it falls apart easily with a fork.
- Lift the pork out onto a plate and shred it using two forks. Pour some cooking liquid over the shredded meat and add the apple cider vinegar to brighten the flavors.
- Taste and add more salt if needed.
