Ingredients

For the garlic butter spread
  • 1 cup softened salted butter Unsalted butter is fine too, but add a pinch of salt.
  • 4 cloves fresh minced garlic Or use garlic powder.
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley Optional, for added flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon shredded Parmesan cheese Optional, mix in for cheesy garlic bread.
For the bread
  • 1 loaf French bread, Italian loaf, baguette, or thick sliced sandwich bread Any of these options work well.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a small bowl, mix softened butter with minced garlic, parsley, and a pinch of salt if needed. If you want cheesy garlic bread, mix in a spoonful of Parmesan too.
  2. Slice your loaf in half lengthwise or into thick pieces. Spread the garlic butter all over, right to the edges.
Cooking
  1. Preheat the air fryer if needed. Place bread in the basket in a single layer. Air fry at 350°F for about 4 to 7 minutes, depending on thickness. For a more golden top, increase the temperature to 370°F for the last minute.
  2. Let the bread sit for a minute so the butter settles in, then slice and serve warm.

Notes

Use softened butter for best results. Watch closely during the last two minutes of cooking to avoid burning. Ensure bread is in a single layer for even crisping.
