Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix the chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, diced green chiles (if using), half of the shredded cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and a pinch of salt until creamy.
- Spread the mixture evenly into a greased 9x13 baking dish.
Assembly
- Lightly crush the Doritos and scatter them over the top of the casserole.
- Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the chips.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, until bubbling around the edges and the cheese is melted.
- Let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days in the fridge or frozen for up to 2 months without the Doritos. For best texture, reheat in the oven.
