Preparation
- Preheat your oven and bake the chocolate cake in a 9x13 pan according to the package instructions.
- Allow the cake to cool for 10-15 minutes.
- Poke holes all over the cake using the handle of a wooden spoon.
- Pour the warm hot fudge sauce and sweetened condensed milk over the top of the cake to fill the holes.
- Let the cake soak, then cover and chill for at least 2 hours or overnight.
Assembly
- Spread the prepared chocolate pudding over the chilled cake.
- Top with whipped topping or whipped cream.
- Add your choice of optional toppings.
Notes
For best results, poke the holes while the cake is still warm, and chill for longer if possible. Mixing the fudge and condensed milk together may help with even sweetness distribution.
