Preparation
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet, then drain off any excess grease.
- Peel and thinly slice the potatoes.
Layering & Cooking
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes at the bottom of the crockpot.
- Sprinkle some salt, pepper, and garlic powder over the potatoes.
- Add half of the browned ground beef on top.
- Pour half of the cream of mushroom soup over the layers.
- Sprinkle with 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, ground beef, soup, and top with another cup of cheese.
- Cover the crockpot, set it to low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
Notes
For best results, slice potatoes thinly and avoid overcrowding. You may substitute cheese types and add veggies for extra nutrition. Ensure to taste for seasoning before serving.
