Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Pat the chicken dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
Searing
- In a skillet, melt the butter with olive oil over medium heat and sear the chicken for 2 to 3 minutes per side.
- Add garlic to the skillet and stir for about 30 seconds, then pour in the chicken broth. Scrape up the browned bits from the pan.
Making the Sauce
- Turn down the heat and stir in the cream and Parmesan until the sauce is smooth.
Baking
- Place the chicken in the baking dish and pour the sauce over it. Bake for about 18 to 25 minutes until the thickest part reaches 165°F (74°C). Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For picky eaters, keep the sauce smooth and avoid visible ingredients like mushrooms. Optionally add spinach for extra flavor. Adjust seasoning as needed before serving.
