- Melt the butter gently in a small pan on low heat or in the microwave in short bursts. You want it melted, not sizzling.
- Stir in the minced garlic. If the butter is super hot, let it cool for a minute first to avoid harsh garlic flavor.
- Add lemon juice, Dijon mustard, paprika, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Stir until it forms a smooth golden sauce.
- Mix in the chopped herbs last to keep them fresh.
- Taste the sauce. Adjust flavors by adding more lemon for tanginess, more salt if dull, or more pepper flakes for heat.
Notes
For a thicker consistency, let the sauce sit for 5 to 10 minutes or refrigerate. For a thinner version, keep it warm. Can be stored in the fridge for up to 4 days.
