- In a small saucepan over medium heat, add the pumpkin puree and pumpkin pie spice. Stir for about 30 to 60 seconds until it smells fragrant.
- Pour in the milk and add the sweetener, vanilla extract, and pinch of salt. Whisk and heat until steaming but not boiling.
- Turn off the heat. Froth the mixture using a handheld frother or whisk for about 20 seconds.
Assembly
- Pour the strong coffee or espresso into a mug, then pour the pumpkin milk mixture over it. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
- Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of spice or caramel drizzle if desired.
