Method

Making the Dough
  1. In a large bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add eggs, melted butter, and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix well.
  3. Gradually mix in the flour until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise until doubled, about 1 hour.
Preparing the Filling
  1. In a small bowl, blend softened butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, espresso powder, and salt until combined.
Rolling and Baking
  1. Once the dough has risen, roll it out into a rectangle on a floured surface.
  2. Spread the filling evenly over the dough.
  3. Roll up the dough tightly, then slice into rolls using dental floss or a serrated knife.
  4. Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise until puffy, about 30-60 minutes.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden.
Making the Glaze
  1. While the rolls bake, whisk together powdered sugar, strong coffee, espresso powder, and vanilla in a bowl until smooth.
  2. Drizzle the glaze over warm rolls after baking.

Notes

You can make the rolls ahead of time and refrigerate overnight or freeze them before the final rise for fresh rolls in the morning.
