Preparation
- Preheat the waffle maker until hot.
- In a small bowl, mix melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt to make the cinnamon sugar filling.
- Unroll the crescent dough and press the perforations to make one sheet.
- Spread the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over the dough sheet.
- Roll the dough into a log starting from the longer side and pinch the seam to seal.
- Slice the dough log into 6 to 8 rolls.
Cooking
- Grease the waffle maker and place one roll in the center. Close the lid without pressing down hard.
- Cook for about 3 to 5 minutes, or until deep golden brown.
- Repeat the cooking process for remaining rolls, greasing the waffle maker as needed.
Serving
- Drizzle icing, dust with powdered sugar, or add syrup and optional toppings.
Notes
Store leftover waffles in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the fridge, or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat in a toaster or oven for best results. Add icing only before serving to maintain texture.
