Chocolate Lasagna

Ingredients
  

Crust
  • 24 cookies Oreo cookies Regular Oreos, not Double Stuf
  • 1/2 cup Butter Melted to bind the crust
Cream Cheese Layer
  • 8 ounces Cream cheese Softened, full fat works best
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar To sweeten the cream cheese layer
  • 8 ounces Cool Whip Divided, or use homemade whipped cream
Pudding Layer
  • 1 package Chocolate instant pudding mix
  • 2 cups Cold milk For the pudding
Toppings
  • 1 cup Chocolate chips Or mini chips for topping

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Crush the Oreos into fine crumbs using a zip top bag and a rolling pin. Mix the crumbs with melted butter and press firmly into a 9x13 dish. Refrigerate while making the next layer.
  2. In a bowl, beat softened cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth. Fold in a portion of Cool Whip and spread gently over the crust.
  3. Whisk the chocolate pudding mix with cold milk until thickened. Let it sit for a couple of minutes to set, then spread over the cream cheese layer.
  4. Spread the remaining Cool Whip on top, then sprinkle chocolate chips, Oreo crumbs, or desired toppings.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for better results.

Notes

For a clean slice, wipe the knife between cuts. Optional toppings can be added right before serving to maintain their crunch. If desired, adjust layers and toppings to fit personal preferences.
