  • 2 pounds potatoes Any type of potatoes can be used.
  • 14 ounces smoked sausage Kielbasa or Andouille recommended.
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning Use a lower sodium version if desired.
  • 2 cups cheese Cheddar is classic; consider mixing with mozzarella or pepper jack.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Wash and chop the potatoes into bite-size pieces.
  3. Slice the smoked sausage into thick pieces.
Baking
  1. Toss potatoes and sausage with ranch seasoning and spread evenly on a baking sheet.
  2. Bake for 25 minutes, stirring once halfway through.
  3. Add cheese on top of the mixture and bake for an additional 5 minutes until melted.
  4. For extra crispiness, broil for a few minutes while watching closely.

Notes

You can store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. To reheat, warm in the oven or a skillet for best results.
