  • 1-1.5 cups Mozzarella, shredded Freshly shredded melts smoother
  • 2-3 tablespoons Parmesan, optional Adds flavor
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • a pinch Salt
  • Parsley, chopped (optional) For garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375 F (190 C). Lightly grease a baking dish or line a sheet pan with parchment.
  2. Make the garlic butter by melting the butter, then stir in minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and a little parmesan. Let it sit for a minute.
  3. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured counter into a rough rectangle, about 12 by 16 inches.
  4. Brush most of the garlic butter over the dough, saving some for the top.
  5. Evenly sprinkle shredded mozzarella over the dough.
  6. Roll the dough from the long side into a log and pinch the seam closed.
  7. Slice the log into 10 to 12 pieces.
Baking
  1. Place the rolls in the baking dish, leaving a little space between them. Brush the tops with the remaining garlic butter.
  2. Bake for 18 to 24 minutes until the tops are golden and cheese is bubbling. Optionally, broil for an extra 1 to 2 minutes for more color.
  3. Let cool for about 5 minutes before pulling apart.
