Ingredients

Pasta Chips Ingredients
  • 2-3 cups cooked pasta (short shapes like penne, rotini, farfalle) Cooked and cooled pasta works best for crispiness.
  • 1-2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter Used for tossing the pasta.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (or 1 small clove fresh garlic grated) Optional for added flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning Optional but enhances the flavor.
  • to taste salt and pepper Season to preference.
  • 1/3-1/2 cup grated parmesan Provides the cheesy flavor.
  • 1/3 cup shredded mozzarella Optional, add in the last 2 minutes for melting.

Method

Preparation
  1. If your pasta is freshly cooked, drain it and let it cool for a few minutes. If it is leftover pasta, pat it dry with paper towels to help crispiness.
  2. Toss the pasta in a bowl with olive oil or melted butter, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and grated parmesan. Add the mozzarella last to avoid it flying around.
Cooking
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C). Spread the pasta in a single layer in the basket, ensuring not to crowd it.
  2. Cook for about 8 to 12 minutes, shaking the basket once or twice during cooking.
  3. In the last 2 minutes, sprinkle mozzarella on top for a cheesy finish. Monitor closely to avoid over-browning.
  4. Let the chips sit for 2 minutes after cooking to crisp up further before serving.

Notes

Store in a container with the lid slightly loose to avoid trapping steam. Reheat in the air fryer for 2 to 4 minutes at 350°F (177°C).
