Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 cups cream soda Chilled or room temperature
  • 4 tablespoons butterscotch syrup Add more for stronger flavor
  • 1 cup heavy cream For the whipped topping
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar To sweeten the cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Optional for flavor enhancement
  • 2 drops butter extract Optional, can enhance the flavor
  • a pinch salt To balance sweetness

Method

Preparation
  1. Chill your cream soda to ensure it stays fizzy.
  2. Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of butterscotch syrup to the bottom of each glass.
  3. Pour in the cream soda gently to avoid excessive foaming, stirring once or twice to mix.
Whipped Cream Topping
  1. In a cold bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until fluffy and soft peaks form.
  2. Spoon the whipped cream topping over the soda so it floats on top.

Notes

For a non-alcoholic version, skip the butter extract. You can also make a hot latte version using hot coffee and butterscotch syrup or an iced variation using ice cubes. Serve in clear cups to showcase layers.
