Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened Aim for full fat for the best texture
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter Natural peanut butter can be used, but stir before measuring
  • 1 to 1.5 cups powdered sugar, to taste Add in stages to control sweetness
  • 3/4 cup mini chocolate chips Plus extra for topping

Method

Preparation
  1. Soften the cream cheese until it’s nice and pliable; room temperature is ideal.
  2. Beat the cream cheese until fluffy using a hand mixer or spatula.
  3. Add peanut butter and mix until fully combined, making sure to scrape the bowl.
  4. Sprinkle in the powdered sugar in stages, starting with 1 cup, and add more to taste until you achieve a thick, creamy, scoopable consistency.
  5. Fold in mini chocolate chips, reserving a handful for topping.
  6. Serve immediately or chill for 15 to 30 minutes for a firmer texture.

Notes

For best results, bring the cream cheese to room temperature to avoid lumps. Store leftovers in a covered container in the fridge for 4 to 5 days. Let it sit out for 10 to 15 minutes before serving if it firms up. Can freeze but may change texture.
