Preparation and Cooking
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Line a baking sheet with foil for easy cleanup. Set a rack on top if available.
- Cut the bacon into thirds using kitchen scissors.
- Wrap each little smokie with a piece of bacon. If necessary, stretch the bacon slightly.
- Roll the wrapped smokie in brown sugar and place it seam side down on the pan. Use toothpicks for extra security if desired.
- Bake for about 25 to 35 minutes, until the bacon is browned and cooked through.
- Let them sit for 5 minutes before serving to cool slightly.
Notes
These bites are best served with toothpicks for easy snacking. Make a larger batch than you think you'll need as guests often come back for seconds.
