  • 1.5 - 2 pounds chicken breasts or thighs Use breasts for a classic taste or thighs for extra juiciness.
Sauce and Seasoning
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning You can also use 2 to 3 tablespoons of homemade ranch blend.
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt or mayo Greek yogurt will make it lighter.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Can use 1 to 2 cups based on preference.
  • 1 garlic powder For seasoning.
  • 1 to taste black pepper
Toppings
  • 6 - 10 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled Add bacon at the end for crispiness.
  • to taste green onions for topping Optional.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Heat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Pat the chicken dry and lay it in the dish. Sprinkle ranch seasoning, garlic powder, and pepper over both sides.
  3. Mix Greek yogurt (or mayo) with a little extra ranch seasoning. Spread it over the top of the chicken.
  4. Add shredded cheese on top.
Cooking
  1. Bake until the chicken is cooked through, about 22 to 28 minutes, or until reaching 165°F (74°C) in the thickest part.
  2. Sprinkle the cooked crumbled bacon on top. Broil for 1 to 2 minutes if you want the cheese bubbly.
  3. Top with green onions and let the dish rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

This dish pairs well with roasted vegetables or a side salad for a complete meal. It's easy to adapt and reheats well for leftovers.
