Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb Ground turkey Lean turkey works best
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs Plain breadcrumbs preferred
  • 1/2 cup Milk Substitutable with oat milk
  • 1 medium Onion Finely chopped
  • 2-3 cloves Garlic Adjust according to preference
  • 1/4 cup Ketchup For both mixing and topping
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tbsp Dried Italian herbs Or any preferred spice blend
Optional Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup Grated carrot For added sweetness
  • 1/4 cup Chopped parsley For extra flavor and color

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, egg, breadcrumbs, milk, onion, garlic, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and dried herbs.
  2. Mix with your hands until the mixture holds together; avoid over-mixing to prevent a dense texture.
  3. Shape the meat mixture into a loaf and place it on a square of parchment paper for easy handling.
Cooking
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 370°F (187°C).
  2. Cook the meatloaf in the air fryer for about 25 minutes.
  3. Brush additional ketchup on top and cook for 5 more minutes.
Finishing
  1. Remove the meatloaf from the air fryer and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Ensure to let the meatloaf rest for 5 minutes to retain its juices. You can also use parchment paper for easier cleanup, though it's not strictly necessary.
