Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 to 2 medium sweet potatoes Use as many as needed based on servings.
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons oil (olive oil or avocado oil) Just enough for crisping.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt Or to taste.
Optional Seasonings
  • to taste paprika
  • to taste garlic powder
  • to taste chili powder
  • to taste cinnamon sugar For a sweet version.
  • to taste black pepper

Method

Preparation
  1. Wash and slice the sweet potato. Leave the skin on for a rustic vibe and slice as thin as possible.
  2. Soak the slices in cold water for 20 to 30 minutes (optional) to remove extra starch, then drain and pat dry.
  3. Toss the slices with a little oil and your chosen seasonings until lightly coated.
Cooking
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C). Lay the chips in a single layer in the basket, avoiding overcrowding.
  2. Air fry for 8 to 12 minutes, flipping or shaking the basket halfway through.
  3. Watch closely in the last few minutes to ensure they turn golden and crisp without burning.
Cooling
  1. Allow the chips to cool on a plate or rack for a few minutes to achieve maximum crunch.

Notes

For best results, slice thin and evenly, and do not overcrowd the air fryer. Store leftovers loosely covered to maintain crispness.
