Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 pieces boneless pork chops, about 1 inch thick
  • 1-2 teaspoons olive oil or avocado oil Use just enough to help the seasoning stick.
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt Salt helps the meat hold onto moisture.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 pinch brown sugar Optional for extra browning.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F for about 3 minutes.
  2. Pat the pork chops dry and rub with oil on both sides.
  3. Mix salt, garlic powder, paprika, pepper, and optional brown sugar. Season both sides well.
Cooking
  1. Place chops in the basket in a single layer without stacking.
  2. Cook for 7 minutes, flip, then cook another 5 to 7 minutes depending on thickness. Start checking at the 12-minute mark.
  3. Remove them once they hit 145°F inside, and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Do not overcrowd the basket; cook in batches if necessary. Resting is essential to keep the juices inside. For different flavors, swap spices or add lemon zest and Italian seasoning.
