Preparation
- Mix the dough ingredients (water, butter, flour, sugar, salt, eggs, and vanilla) until smooth but not dry.
- Load the dough into a piping bag or Ziploc bag with a snipped corner.
Cooking
- Preheat your air fryer for a couple of minutes.
- Pipe the dough into small bite-sized pieces on baking parchment.
- Cook churro bites in the air fryer at 375°F for 8-10 minutes, until golden brown and puffed.
Coating
- While still warm, dunk churro bites in melted butter and roll in cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Notes
Store leftover churro bites in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days. Re-crisp in the air fryer for 1-2 minutes if needed. Experiment with different sugars or add orange zest for flavor variations.
