  • 1.5 pounds Chicken tenderloins or chicken breasts cut into strips Use tenderloins for best results.
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour For breading.
  • 2 large Eggs Beaten for coating.
  • 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs For extra crunch; regular breadcrumbs may also be used.
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese Optional but recommended.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt To taste.
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper To taste.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder For seasoning.
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika For seasoning.
  • as needed spray Cooking spray or oil To help with browning.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Pat the chicken dry with paper towels.
  2. Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs.
  3. Season each layer lightly: add a pinch of salt and pepper to the flour and season the breadcrumbs with garlic powder and paprika.
  4. Dip each piece of chicken into the flour, then into the eggs, and finally press into the breadcrumbs ensuring a good coating.
Cooking
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F if required by your model.
  2. Place the chicken tenders in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring not to overcrowd.
  3. Lightly spray the tops with cooking spray if desired for a golden color.
  4. Cook for about 9 to 12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.

Notes

Serve with a simple salad, fries, or any preferred side. Dips such as ketchup, BBQ sauce, or ranch are great for extra flavor. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
