  • 1 bunch asparagus, ends trimmed Use thin, medium, or thick spears based on preference.
  • 1-2 teaspoons olive oil Just enough to lightly coat the asparagus.
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt Season before cooking.
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper Season to taste.
  • Optional finishers: lemon zest, grated Parmesan, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, fresh lemon Choose based on your preference.

Preparation
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 390 degrees F if your model benefits from it.
  2. Pat the asparagus dry to ensure better browning.
  3. Toss asparagus with olive oil, salt, and pepper until lightly coated.
  4. Arrange the spears in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
Cooking
  1. Air fry for 7 to 9 minutes, shaking the basket once around minute 5.
  2. Start checking for doneness around minute 6 if using thin spears.
Finishing Touches
  1. Finish with your favorite topper such as lemon juice, Parmesan, garlic powder, or butter.

Notes

For best results, do not overcrowd the air fryer basket. If doubling the recipe, cook in batches and keep the first batch warm in the oven. Leftovers can be reheated in the air fryer.
