Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 1 package Oreo cookies Regular Oreos or your preferred variant
  • 1 package Pretzel sticks Thin ones are easiest to snap into legs
  • 1 cup Melted chocolate or candy melts Black or dark chocolate preferred
  • 1 Candy eyes For decorating the spiders
Optional tools and ingredients
  • 1 Piping bag or zip-top bag For easier application of the melted chocolate

Method

Preparation
  1. Set up your station. Line a tray with parchment paper to keep the spiders from sticking.
  2. Break pretzel sticks in half for legs, needing eight pieces per spider.
  3. Melt your chocolate in a microwave, stirring in short bursts until smooth.
Assembly
  1. Take one Oreo and add a small dab of melted chocolate on each side, then slide in four pretzel legs on each side.
  2. Place two dots of melted chocolate on top of the Oreo and add the candy eyes.
  3. Let the spiders set in the fridge for about 10 to 15 minutes or leave them at room temperature if it's cool.

Notes

Store them in a single layer to avoid tangling. Let kids decorate with candy eyes for a fun activity.
